SUZIE: When I walked into Silkwood Medical Center for my usual consultation I was greeted at the front desk by the receptionist who was a lovely person, very warm and very welcoming, ‘cause I was a bunch of nerves. I was so nervous. And it was the first time I had ever done anything like this. And she told me, you know, what I needed to do like fill out the necessary medical things, like what medications I’m on or what I’m allergic to. So I did this and while I was waiting Dr. Nettle came and greeted, greeted me. I felt really comfortable with him, straightaway, a very approachable man and very down to earth. We spoke about what my desire is, what I would like done, and what my expectations were. ‘Cause that was very important for him to get to know me. And you know I was actually talking to him and telling him a little bit about myself. I found that he was, he was basically looking at my face the whole time. And he showed me a few things in the mirror. I - - stand in front of the mirror and he just showed me by lifting this and touching this and what the affect I could achieve by getting a more natural result is if we do it this way. And I thought, he’s right. I like the idea of what he wants to go ahead with. I was in agreeance with him.

After seeing Dr. Nettle I was taken to the patient coordinator and that’s where we spoke about the cost and what I would be expect pre-operation, post-operatively. I’d organized a date with Cheryl and we put that date into the book. And ultimately it just made me so excited because I was one step closer to getting to something that I’ve always wanted done. So it was the beginning and I was looking, really looking forward to it.
